Food Pantry

COP receives donated food from many local food drives that include churches, schools and businesses. COP also receives a large quantity of food from local grocery stores and the Food Bank. In 2012, almost 15,000 people were served and almost 6,000 food deliveries were made by our volunteers.

There are 4 steps to managing the food distribution. First, the food is collected by the volunteers and brought to the storage building. Then, the food is organized on the shelves and freezers. The food is then placed in delivery bags and delivered by volunteers. The entire process involves about 40 people every month for several deliveries. COP funds cover any gaps in the food bags.
